Kharishma (born Melita Ribane) is a dynamic singer, songwriter, and performer from Limpopo, South Africa. Known as the Queen of Lekompo, she has been instrumental in bringing the genre – which fuses traditional Limpopo rhythms with Afrobeat and modern house – into the mainstream. Her fearless artistry and powerful vocals have positioned her at the forefront of a new musical wave.
At just 20 years old, she broke onto the scene with “Chokeslam”, a viral sensation produced with Ba Bethe Gashoazen.
