South African pop artist Dan Duminy, known for collaborations with Nasty C, Tellaman, and Blxckie, has released his brand-new single “Mixed Signals.” Marking his first release since April’s “Lost Without You,” the track offers an honest and vulnerable reflection on the moments when love feels uncertain.
“The song came from a place of frustration and vulnerability, that space where someone’s actions and words just don’t line up,” Dan explains. “I wanted to capture the confusion of being stuck in between, where you care for someone, but they’re not giving you clarity. It’s real, it’s raw, and I think a lot of people have been in that place.”
A Polished Yet Honest Sound
Blending pop with darker, cinematic textures, “Mixed Signals” stays true to the emotional honesty Dan is known for while elevating his sound with a polished, dynamic edge. Produced with longtime friend and collaborator Jordan James, the track balances raw emotion with strength.
“Jordan knows me better than anyone, so he really helped me bring out the most honest version of the song,” Dan shares. “The textures he added gave it depth that made it hit harder while still feeling authentic.”

Dan Duminy is Looking Ahead
Beyond the single, Dan Duminy has been focused on finishing his upcoming EP, which promises to showcase his clearest artistic vision yet. “This year has been about clarity,” he reflects. “Musically, I’ve been finding my lane more than ever and putting together a project that feels true to who I am. Personally, it’s been a mix of highs and lows, but even the challenges have shaped me into a stronger artist and person.”
“Mixed Signals” is just the start of this new chapter. With more singles, collaborations, and live performances on the horizon, Dan is looking ahead with confidence.
“It feels like everything I’ve been building is finally aligning – the EP, the new music, the shows, all of it. 2026 is going to be a breakthrough year, and I’m excited to keep sharing my story and connecting deeper with fans.”
