Folk-rock singer-songwriter Charlie Harris has returned with his most vulnerable release to date. His latest single, “Give Me Love”, tells the raw and unflinching story of an alcoholic desperate to change – pleading with loved ones to look past his flaws and offer the one thing he believes can save him: love.
The track captures both the quiet desperation of addiction and the fragile hope of redemption, delivered in Charlie’s signature mix of acoustic warmth and rock grit. With lyrics that cut deep and melodies that linger long after the final chord, “Give Me Love” serves as both a confession and a cry for connection.
“This song is about being at rock bottom but still clinging to the belief that love can be a catalyst for change,” Charlie shares. “It’s a reminder that sometimes the most broken people are just asking to be seen, heard, and loved.”

More info about Charlie Harris
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Charlie discovered music at 13, when his uncle introduced him to the guitar. What began with a few simple chords soon became a lifelong calling.
Over the years, he explored various musical projects, including bands like Hemisphere and Radio Unfriendly, before finding his footing with Keep Guessing Charlie – a group formed with friends Andre Feldmann, Shaun Ruysenaar, Louise Cloete, and Frank Coerlin. The band’s name came from an inside joke, but its spirit has carried Charlie forward as an artist.
Since then, Charlie Harris has released two albums – Digital Dust (Side A) and Digital Dust (Side B) – garnering a loyal following through his poetic lyricism, heartfelt performances, and unrelenting drive to tell honest stories through music.
His songs often reflect life’s toughest struggles and biggest triumphs, always guided by his mantra of never giving up.
With “Give Me Love” and more singles set for release in 2025, Charlie Harris continues to carve his path as one of South Africa’s most authentic and fearless voices.
