Established in 2021 and hailing from the Garden Route, on the coast of South Africa, Betty’s Nuklear deliver groovy alternative desert rock, packed with super intergalactic power, wrapping their music in imagination and abstract emotion. The line-up includes Chad Abnett (Lead Vocals), Dean Clarke (Guitar), Shane Carew (Drums), Anthonie Botha (Bass).
The band have just released their new single “Call Before Your Ride”, a bass driven slow burner taken from their EP Rise Betty Rise releasing on the 28th of October 2022.

“Call before you ride is a journey through time and space, and our Betty is coming in hot for a crash landing into the SA music industry! Just a taste of what’s to come. Betty has landed and it’s time for the world to listen to her! Our aim was to depict our haste through Betty’s journey, we are excited and can’t wait for you all to hear what we’ve been working on. If I could explain the feel of this song in one word it would have to be DRIVE!”

I have to admit that this is one of the better SA rock tracks that I’ve heard in 2022. I’m curious to find out how the rest of the new Betty’s Nuklear EP is going to sound like.
