Basson Laubscher & the Violent Free Peace‘s ‘ Old Town’ is a nostalgic drive down memory lane and the carefree comfort of youth.

“Old Town” sees chief songwriter, Basson Laubscher, reminiscent of the days and nights of his youth, entering adulthood and his coming-of-age story in the sleepy, student town of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Basson reflects on how life moves on, but one can still be stuck in the comfort zone of the past and reaches a sober reflection in that, no matter how comfortable and good the past may be, life moves fast, and it is time to embrace the present and move on to find the next chapter.
