    25 Years of Prime Circle – 6 December 2025

This December, the Sunset Music Series proudly presents a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of South African rock: 25 Years of Prime Circle. On Saturday, 6 December 2025, fans will gather at the stunning Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Roodepoort for an unforgettable afternoon of music, nostalgia, and world-class performances.

Joining Prime Circle on stage are two powerhouse acts: award-winning pop star Lee Cole and legendary South African band Tree63, one of the country’s most cherished and internationally acclaimed musical exports.

    Prime Circle 25 Years

Together, these three acts promise a thrilling mix of rock, pop, and soaring ballads that will captivate audiences of all ages.

    A Milestone Worth Celebrating

This show is part of Prime Circle’s 25th Anniversary National Roadshow, and for bassist Marco Gomes, the tour is more than just a series of concerts.

“This milestone means a lot to us because it’s 25 years of music, memories, and incredible support from our fans,” says Marco. “This tour is one big celebration, made even more special by the friends who will be joining us along the way. For most dates, we’ll be sharing the stage with Tree63 and Lee Cole.”

Reflecting on Prime Circle’s journey, Marco recalls unforgettable moments: “Hearing our song on the radio for the first time never gets old. Touring internationally was huge. We were supposed to support a band in Germany and ended up stealing the show – that’s when we realised we could perform on a global stage.”

And there have been surreal fanboy moments too: “I’ll never forget meeting Pat Monahan from Train. We had just gotten married and used Train’s ‘Marry Me’ at our wedding. Two days later, we ran into him at Berlin airport, invited him to our show, and he came! Next thing, he’s hanging backstage with us and Cedar. It was surreal.”

Looking Forward: New Music on the Horizon

Prime Circle isn’t just looking back – they’re looking forward with exciting new music in the works.

“We’ve got a strong ballad lined up,” Marco reveals. “It’s about growth and realizing when it’s best to move on without bitterness. It’s honest, emotional, and powerful. We want this milestone to be marked with something meaningful, not just a party track.”

And the dreams continue: “For years, we’ve wanted to perform with a full orchestra. Imagine Prime Circle with the Johannesburg Philharmonic in a symphonic rock show. That’s still a dream we want to make happen.”

25 Years of Prime Circle is a Celebration of South African Music

With a legacy of chart-topping anthems, international tours, and a loyal fan base spanning generations, Prime Circle’s 25th Anniversary Roadshow is more than just a concert – it’s a celebration of South African music history.

Joined by Tree63 and Lee Cole, the Sunset Music Series show at Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens promises timeless hits, unforgettable stories, and the electrifying live energy that only Prime Circle can deliver.

25 Years. 3 Acts. Endless Hits. Don’t miss December’s biggest celebration of South African music.
