Tyler Page Releases New Single “Kill All The Heroes”

From the enchanting opening line of Tyler Page’s new single, “Kill all the heroes”, the 19-year-old Cape Town-based singer’s mesmerising vocals instantly captivate you and force you to take notice.

The song is about the current vibe in the world and the anxiety most (especially young) people feel but try and hide. The distrust for super wealthy geriatrics who run the world claiming to be the heroes that we need when their only real qualification is an ability to accumulate great wealth. A lot of people in the world are disillusioned and cynical about the true intentions of these wealthy “heroes”.

Tyler Page’s velvety, hypnotic vocals are layered over deep bass, 80s style synths, sublime vocal harmonies and a rolling, grooving beat. The song’s thought provoking theme and slick production from the team at Bad Future make “Kill all the heroes” an instant modern day classic.

Tyler Page explains “Kill All The Heroes”

“’Kill all the heroes’ is definitely one of my favourites. It resonates with the zeitgeist and especially with the youth of today. We should be looking up to our leaders and elders for guidance and a prosperous future, but instead we have been disillusioned by their obvious obsession with greed, power and wealth.”

Tyler Page - Kill All The Heroes

“The rich get richer and the poor get poorer while we the youth are being robbed of our future. Some of these self-acclaimed “heroes” are actually real life villains destroying the planet and our health and wellbeing just to make a buck. Accumulating wealth seems to be the sole drive behind decisions made for us by the ones in charge.”

“Whilst many choose to live the lie and pretend it’s all ok, some are waking up to go to war with these evil overlords who see themselves as heroes. This song is an anthem for those people on the ground, the ordinary people who are brave enough to ask questions, challenge the system in order to create a better future. The truth is the world would be a better place without some of these so-called ‘heroes’”

Tyler Page has also released the music video for “Kill all the heroes” which was shot, directed and produced by creative visionary Tristan Coetzee.

Tristan Coetzee comments on making the video

“Working with such a talented young artist with a clear, almost surreal aura & voice, I was excited to capture her and her generation’s emotion in this film.”

“Kill all the heroes” is the 2nd single off Tyler Page’s debut EP (which is due for release in 2021). I can totally envision this track to be on one or more television show’s soundtrack. I hope South African and International TV producers take notice.
