Today sees the release of their new The Amblers single “Sixteen 100 Year Olds”, a blues infused hard rock song that will get your foot stomping from the opening riff.
More info about The Amblers
Hailing from the vibrant and diverse music industry in South Africa, The Amblers have a broad range of both local and international musical influences from Southern Gypsy Queenand The Black Cat Bones, to The Rolling Stones and Jack White. Their approach to music is raw but not unpolished, lending an authentic energy to huge drums and dirty, vintage guitar tones.
Acclaimed drummer Jason Hinch provides an accomplished and powerful framework for Justin Swart to deliver his raconteurish ideas of music and lyrics to a listener. Swart and Hinch undeterred by the global pandemic’s negative effects on the music industry have continued to work tirelessly at their craft.
Justin Swart from The Amblers comments
“I love making music, it’s an endless struggle for me. Exhilarating, infuriating and wonderful. By the time we get to press releases like here and now, it’s all been done. No back peddling. No correcting. Only the wonderful torment ahead…I hope you enjoy the song and that you find something within it for your own story and journey. If not, maybe it’ll get you tapping your feet. Which is good too!”
Jason Hinch from The Amblers comments
“Recording drums for this track at High Seas Studios was as always, a blast. Our approach has always been an organic one, but this one was special. The amount of vintage drum gear alone warms my little heart! One take, no edits, no samples. Simply good people in a good room, making music. What more could you ask for?”
