Ever been stuck in a loop of self-doubt with your inner critic on repeat? Sheron knows the feeling—and he’s giving that voice a name and a face in his new single and video, “Gurri (You Know You Should)”. It’s a bold alt-rock track packed with catchy guitar riffs, a soaring chorus, and enough grit and humour to feel like a pep talk in song form.
Building on the success of his debut solo album Goodbye My Love, released in March, Sheron introduces listeners to Gurri—his cartoonish, confident alter ego who isn’t afraid to call him out. The result is part anthem, part animated showdown between doubt and self-belief.
A Musical Tug-of-War Between Fear and Courage
“Gurri” is driven by infectious energy—memorable hooks, tight rhythms, and lyrics that pull no punches. As the track unfolds, listeners are pulled into a dynamic internal dialogue: Sheron, caught in moments of anxiety, is taunted by the fearless Gurri in animated sequences that mirror the emotional tension.
Visually and sonically, the project explores the push-pull of personal doubt and self-motivation. It’s a relatable concept, dressed up in sound and storytelling that invites listeners to laugh, reflect, and maybe even dance through the fear.
“We’ve all had those moments where hesitation holds us back,” says Sheron. “I wanted this song to capture that feeling—but also offer a way through it. Gurri is that voice we all need sometimes, the one that says, ‘Get up. You’ve got this.’”
