Phil Gregory Releases New EP: “Heart & Soul”

Country singer-songwriter Phil Gregory returns with Heart & Soul, a six-track EP that dives into the many dimensions of relationships – from fleeting attraction and impulsive romance to heartbreak, healing, and long-term commitment.

Known for his honest storytelling and melodic British country sound, Gregory uses this release to reflect on the moments that shape us – the sparks that ignite quickly, the connections that leave lasting marks, and the kind of love that often arrives when it’s least expected.

A Journey Through Relationship Highs and Lows

The EP opens with “Number on My Mind”, a track fuelled by raw attraction and desire. It captures the urgency and intensity of physical chemistry – that immediate pull that’s impossible to ignore.

In contrast, the title track “Heart & Soul” shifts into more vulnerable territory. It explores the emotional aftermath of divorce and the slow, often painful process of rebuilding. It’s a deeply honest moment on the project, anchored in reflection and resilience.

Stories That Feel Personal Yet Universal

Between these two emotional extremes, Heart & Soul unfolds through a series of relatable relationship snapshots.

“Footprint” tells the story of a short-lived holiday romance – a moment that felt significant at the time but faded just as quickly as it arrived.

“Can’t Resist” captures the magic of love at first sight, that instant connection that feels both rare and undeniable.

“If You Ever Change Your Name” leans into vulnerability, exploring the courage it takes to ask someone to build a future together.

Meanwhile, “Nowhere for Our Love to Hide”, written during the pandemic, reflects on two people forced into close quarters by circumstance – only to discover that being together was exactly what they needed.

    A Collaborative Creative Process

The EP was developed through Gregory’s ongoing songwriting partnership with his nephew, Billy Gregory. Together, they blend personal experiences with themes that resonate broadly, giving the project both authenticity and wide appeal.

Phil Gregory is Building on a Strong Foundation

Phil Gregory has steadily carved out a space in the country music scene with his heartfelt approach and crossover sensibility. Previous releases like Good Intentions and 22: Not Out highlighted his ability to combine strong melodies with emotionally grounded storytelling.

The Meaning Behind Heart & Soul

For Gregory, this EP is about capturing the full spectrum of love – not just the highlights or the heartbreak, but everything in between.

“This EP looks at love from different angles,” he explains. “It’s not just about the highs or the lows – it’s about the full picture. The passion, the mistakes, the courage, the growth. That’s what ‘Heart & Soul’ means to me.”

With this release, Phil Gregory delivers a collection that feels both deeply personal and widely relatable – a reminder that love, in all its forms, is rarely simple, but always meaningful.

The EP is available to stream on Spotify and all other major streaming platforms.
