No collaboration feels more natural than seeing Canadian alt-pop duo Neon Dreams, South African rising star Booshle G, and New York-based artist BYRNE unite on their electric new single, “Wander”.
The track was born unexpectedly during a New York studio session following a sold-out show that Neon Dreams and Booshle G performed together in London earlier this year.
The session came together thanks to BYRNE, a longtime friend of the band, who invited them to write in the city. “We were just visiting the city,” recalls Neon Dreams frontman Frank Kadillac, “and one of my friends invited us to a session. I wasn’t even sure Booshle would be part of it, and he just smiled and said, ‘I can do whatever I want.’ That’s when I knew something special was about to happen.”
Booshle G, who calls NeonDreams “big brothers” in his music journey, says the connection was inevitable
“We’ve toured South Africa and Europe together, shared stages, and spent time building this trust,” he says. “So, getting in the studio just felt natural—and out came this big ball of fun we called ‘Wander’.” The song captures the magic of spontaneity, the thrill of adventure, and the kind of musical chemistry that can’t be forced, even if you try.
Sonically, “Wander” fuses 70s funk, 80s disco pop, and irresistible modern energy. “It’s lightning in a bottle,” says Frank. “For 2 minutes and 37 seconds, you’re going to feel unstoppable.” Or, in his words: “Exhilarating. Contagious. Sunshine.”
At its core, “Wander” is a celebration of freedom, presence, and the joy of stepping outside your comfort zone. “We wander back into love when we stop thinking and start feeling,” Frank explains. “This song is a reminder that happiness lives in the moment, and music can take you there.” Booshle adds, “It’s about always chasing the summer—physically, emotionally, spiritually. It’s an adventure, and this track represents a childlike expression of that joy.”

The collaboration marks a new milestone for both Neon Dreams and Booshle G. It follows the Canadian duo’s 10-year anniversary, celebrated with the release of an acoustic album of the same name, while continuing to grow their global fan base. Booshle G also recently played his first international show to a sold-out London crowd.
The next chapter for all three acts will kick off with the nationwide Sunshine Tour 2 across South Africa in October. After that, Neon Dreams will head to Europe for their headline tour, with Booshle G joining them as a special guest. In his own words: “More music, more content, and more special live moments.”
