22-year-old South-African singer-songwriter, Will Linley, is back with a brand-new track, “Blame,” out today via Island Records. The track comes on the heels of his 2024 US headlining “Magic Tour” announce which will kick off on the 25th of July 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Will Linley comments on “Blame”

“Blame is something new and something different. It feels like a step in a new direction whilst still holding true to my sound and what I want to create. It’s a song about the intricacies of having to step away from someone that you love and the pain that comes with that process. It’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written and I am so excited for everyone to hear it.”

    Will Linley

Will made a splash in 2023 after playing two sold out shows in the US at Mercury Lounge in New York and Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. These shows followed a successful UK tour which included P!nk’s Summer Carnival and Will’s debut London headline concert at Courtyard Theatre.

Linley also opened for Maroon 5 in January/February in South Africa at Calabash and most recently supported Em Beihold on her North American tour. He has also been added to the Lollapalooza line-up in Chicago taking place in August this year.

The new music is the first since last year’s Magic EP – a collection of “sad-pop” songs, mastering the art of mixing raw, emotional lyrics over cheery, dance-y beats. The EP features previously released singles “Maybe,” “Gracie,” “Tough (The Girls Song),” and most notably “Last Call.”

    More info about Will Linley

Will Linley, a 22-year-old musician and songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in a musical family and learned to play violin and viola before teaching himself piano and guitar. Influenced by pop singer-songwriters like Dean Lewis, Lewis Capaldi, and Ed Sheeran, he began writing songs in high school.

Linley gained popularity on TikTok, leading to his song “miss me (when you’re gone)” reaching #1 in South Africa and earning a Gold certification. His debut EP “kill all my feelings” received international acclaim. His single “Last Call” amassed over 40 million global streams and he was recognized as a Vevo DSCVR artist.

Linley has performed with artists such as One Republic and Matthew Mole, and in 2023, he performed at P!NK’s Summer Carnival in the UK alongside Gwen Stefani and Sam Ryder.

He also played at the Barn on the Farm Festival in Gloucester and headlined his debut London show at The Courtyard Theatre. Additionally, he performed sold-out shows in New York City and Los Angeles in the previous year.
