Johannesburg will host the festival on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at the Expo Centre at Nasrec, while Cape Town’s event will follow on Sunday, 26 April 2026 at The Ostrich. The timing couldn’t be better, with the Monday being a public holiday.
A New Chapter for ULTRA South Africa
Now in its 11th year, ULTRA South Africa continues to redefine live music experiences across the continent. The 2025 edition saw record-breaking attendance and unforgettable performances from international heavyweights including Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, ISOxo, KSHMR, Mind Against, Massano, and Shmiza.
For 2026, fans can expect even more ambitious production, state-of-the-art stage design, and an electrifying lineup that reaffirms ULTRA South Africa’s status as Africa’s biggest electronic music event.
World-Class Venues, Unmatched Energy
The 2026 edition will once again transform Johannesburg’s Expo Centre at Nasrec and Cape Town’s The Ostrich into world-class festival destinations.
Tens of thousands of fans will unite for a weekend of cutting-edge sound, world-class production, and the unmistakable energy that makes ULTRA South Africa one of the continent’s most anticipated events.
ULTRA South Africa 2026 is shaping up to be one of the festival’s biggest editions yet, with a powerhouse Main Stage line-up
The line-up led by tech-house star John Summit, French hitmaker DJ Snake, progressive house legend Axwell, and a special back-to-back performance from Afrojack and R3hab.

Supporting them will be a strong selection of local and international talent, including Apashe, Kyle Watson, DJ Kent, TiMO ODV b2b Kyle Cassim, Indigo, Headroom b2b Geometric Flux, Niskerone b2b Dakota, and Kurt April.
The RESISTANCE Stage will once again deliver a cutting-edge underground experience, headlined by New York house icon Dennis Ferrer and South African heavyweight Shimza. They will be joined by Major League DJz, Caiiro b3b De Capo b3b Enco Napa b3b, Kitty Amor, Mpho.Wav, Mila-Rose, Baby Whitz, and Kid Fonque, creating a deep and diverse techno and house offering.
In Johannesburg, ULTRA South Africa will also welcome back The Groove Room, a dedicated space celebrating African electronic music culture. This vibrant stage will spotlight some of the continent’s most influential artists, including Scorpion Kings, DBN Gogo, Liquideep, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag x Que DJ, Sun-El Musician, 2shoes, Lelowhatsgood, and Slow Poison.
Adding to the Johannesburg experience, the UMF Radio Stage presented by Confessions.za will make its debut. Designed as an intimate platform for forward-thinking sounds, the stage will feature performances by Dean Fuel, Cinimin, Chunda Munki, Vimo, Connie, Aidin Caye, Mia, Skelm, Jevan Binder, and Threemanweave.
Since launching in 2014, ULTRA South Africa has become a fixture on the local music calendar, attracting tens of thousands of fans from across the country and abroad each year. The festival has hosted a long list of global electronic music stars and continues to stand as a must-attend event for dance music fans.
