Fresh off a wave of international momentum, alt-rock-pop duo theGemini have announced their first-ever South African tour, set to take place in February 2026.
Titled the About Last Nite Tour, the run introduces the band’s core ethos: music as a space to let loose, be loud, and embrace your inner wild thing.

Cape Town and Stellenbosch audiences can expect high-energy performances alongside South African heavyweights December Streets, aKing, and James Deacon, promising nights that blur the line between concert and catharsis.
theGemini: From London Open Mics to Abbey Road
Formed in London after a chance open-mic meeting between Romanian vocalist Stef Munteanu (Romanian X-Factor) and South African songwriter Morné Strampe, theGemini evolved from stripped-back jam sessions into a fully realised studio project.
Their debut material was written and refined over a decade, developed at AudioHaus in London and completed at Abbey Road Studios.
The project was mastered by Geoff Pesche (best known for his work on Dire Straits’ Brothers in Arms), resulting in a sound that balances raw intimacy and lyrical storytelling with cinematic scale. At its core sits a concept album exploring love, temptation, and the choices that shape what comes next.
A Debut Single Built for Impact
Their debut single, “Let There Be Dragons”, arrives as a nu-disco-inflected fever dream, positioning theGemini as a rising force with genuine crossover appeal. The release marks the duo’s first official introduction to South African radio audiences.
“South Africa is home, not just geographically, but creatively,” says Morné. “These shows are where the story really begins.”
Stef adds: “theGemini isn’t about perfection, it’s about honesty in the moment. This tour is about letting go, being loud, and choosing connection over comfort.”
Expect loud rooms, late nights, and stories you’ll struggle to explain, but never forget.
