Kiss Kiss returns this April with its most ambitious edition yet, transforming two of South Africa’s most iconic outdoor spaces into immersive daytime worlds of music, food, performance, and connection.
This year the festival unfolds at the Castle of Good Hope and Emmarentia Dam. Each location will host a full day of culture and creativity, with the experience stretching from early afternoon into golden hour and beyond.
Headlining both cities are the multi award winning UK electronic legends Basement Jaxx, whose era defining catalogue and explosive live performances have shaped global dance music for more than two decades.

Joining the line-up is the genre bending hyper pop punk outfit Internet Girl, a band that has rapidly built international momentum from Paris stages to the festival grounds of Rocking the Daisies.
With sold out local tours, millions of streams and a fast growing global following, their high energy performances add a bold contemporary edge to this year’s bill.
Kiss Kiss: A Festival Across Two Cities
Staged across Cape Town and Johannesburg, Kiss Kiss is designed as more than just a music event. It is a carefully curated all day cultural playground that evolves as the hours pass.
Two distinct stages will showcase a diverse mix of international and local artists, each offering its own sound, atmosphere and personality. As the day moves from bright afternoon sunlight into the glow of sunset, the energy across the festival grounds transforms with it.
Food, Performance and Unexpected Moments
Music may be the heart of Kiss Kiss, but the experience stretches far beyond the stage.
A thoughtfully curated food court will bring together leading chefs from both Cape Town and Johannesburg, serving bold and creative menus designed to be enjoyed between sets rather than rushed through.
Across the festival grounds, immersive theatre and roaming performers will add an element of surprise. From stilt walkers to spontaneous live moments, the line between audience and performance becomes deliberately blurred.
A Party Built Around Daylight
According to the organisers, the spirit of Kiss Kiss has always centred on the idea that a party can feel expansive.
“It’s about sunlight, open air and a soundtrack that evolves as the day unfolds,” they explain. “It’s about curiosity, connection and shared moments.”
With previous editions selling out and building a loyal following across both cities, excitement around the April return is already building quickly.
