Cape Town’s most anticipated live music series is back! The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts return with an electrifying line-up that brings together legendary icons, global stars, and South Africa’s hottest rising talent. From Afro-soul and indie-folk to desert blues, house, and full orchestras, this is the ultimate soundtrack to summer in the city.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain, the Kirstenbosch stage transforms every Sunday into an unforgettable celebration of music and community. Gates open from 16:00, with performances starting at 17:15 unless otherwise stated.

- Mi Casa kicks off the season on 23 November 2025, lighting the stage with soulful vocals, jazzy trumpet riffs, and irresistible grooves.
- Prime Circle & Jesse Clegg bring rock anthems and heartfelt hits on 30 November 2025.
- Karen Zoid & Francois van Coke celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hit duet “Toe Vind Ek Jou” on 7 December 2025.
- Bongeziwe Mabandla & Matthew Field share the stage for a soulful and unforgettable collaboration on 14 December 2025.
- Viral sensation The Kiffness delivers big, brassy fun on 28 December 2025.
- On New Year’s Eve, Mango Groove teams up with The Billy Joel Experience for a pop-kwela and piano classics extravaganza. Concert-goers may bring their own alcohol.
- Goldfish turns the venue into Cape Town’s biggest dance floor on 4 January 2026.
- Belinda Davids presents The Greatest Love of All tribute to Whitney Houston on 11 January 2026.
- Freshlyground & Manana deliver Afro-pop joy meets soulful R&B on 18 January 2026.
- Bombino brings desert blues from Niger on 25 January 2026.
- The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by German bandoneon specialist Lothar Henzel, performs Astor Piazzolla classics on 1 February 2026.

- Jeremy Loops brings infectious folk-pop energy on 15 February 2026.
- Vusi Mahlasela & Jabulile Majola join for a cross-generational sonic conversation on 22 February 2026.

- Afro-soul powerhouse Thandiswa Mazwai lights up the stage on 15 March 2026.

- Family-friendly orchestral festivities by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring Peter and the Wolf and pieces from Frozen and Star Wars, take place on 29 March 2026.

The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are an essential Cape Town tradition, where world-class talent meets one of the most iconic outdoor venues on earth.
From barefoot stomping to electrifying beats, to swaying to symphonic brilliance, every Sunday brings a new headline experience.
“The Summer Sunset Concerts are about connection, joy, and the beauty of experiencing good music in harmony with nature,” says Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden’s Events and Tourism Manager, Sarah Struys. “This year’s line-up is possibly our most exciting yet, with something for everyone. Whether you come to dance, sing along, or simply soak up the atmosphere, you’ll be part of a Cape Town tradition that grows from strength to strength each year.”
Ticket Information
Tickets are limited and sell fast. Secure yours via Webtickets – the official ticketing partner – or at the Kirstenbosch Ticket Office. Pricing: R360 for adults, R225 for youth aged 6–21, and free entry for children 0–5. New Year’s Eve tickets cost R540.
Concert-goers may bring picnic baskets and blankets. Alcohol is allowed on site but will not be sold. Food will be available at the venue, and the concerts remain non-smoking events.
