Mark your calendars, music lovers! On Sunday, August 9, 2026, something massive is happening. Galpalooza is back for its fourth edition, and this time, it’s not just a festival – it’s a nationwide takeover.
To honor National Women’s Day, Galpalooza is expanding its footprint to 9 venues across South Africa. We’re talking about a full day of female-fronted live music, stunning art exhibitions, and interactive activities, all curated and run by women.
Galpalooza is more Than Just a Gig
Galpalooza has always been about more than just a great line-up. It is a community-driven movement. In an industry where women are often overlooked, Galpalooza stands firm on the principle of fair and equal compensation.
Every ticket sold, every sponsorship, and every pop-up party goes directly toward supporting the artists and crews involved. It’s about building a sustainable, inclusive creative scene where everyone gets their flowers.
What’s on the Menu?
Whether you’re a die-hard indie fan or just looking for a creative Sunday out with the family, there is something for everyone:
Live Performances: From 3 to 11 acts per venue, showcasing the incredible depth of female talent in SA.
Art Exhibitions: Discover breathtaking works from local female artists.
Fun for All: Interactive events designed to inspire. Most venues are family-friendly (and some even welcome your four-legged friends!).

The Ticketed Headliners
Railways Café, Irene, Centurion | 12:00 – 23:00 (11 acts). – Kids under 18 free; No under 18s permitted after 19:00.
Daisy Jones, Stellenbosch | 12:00 – 22:00 (10 acts). Kids under 12 free.
The Free Shows (13:00 – 16:00, 3 acts each)
Padlangs Restaurant & Bar (Pretoria) – Families welcome!
Bus Stop7 Market (Pretoria) – Families and pets welcome!
Heartspace Market @ German Club (Edenvale) – Families welcome!
Swagga Breweries (Meyerton) – Families welcome!

Four Years of Magic
Galpalooza has come a long way since its 2023 debut at Tweefontein Melkery. From the rhythmic vibes at Klitsgras in 2024 to the 2025 celebration at Otterlake, each year has built a foundation for this massive 2026 expansion.
This year is all about fostering greater representation and creating even more “did you see that?” moments.
