Benoni-based EDM producer Undertone has breathed new life into one of his earliest and most memorable tracks with the release of “Silly Fly”—a whimsical 2024 remake of a song that began as a 1999 experiment.
Originally inspired by a short poem about a fly, “Silly Fly” retains the quirky charm of the original while revving up the tempo to an electrifying 150 BPM.

When the track was first recorded at a leisurely 75 BPM, it had a slower, playful vibe. In its latest iteration, “Silly Fly” soars with double the speed in C major, delivering an energetic beat that matches its lighthearted theme.
“It’s as silly as the title,” says Undertone, “but there’s nothing quite like it out there.” The track showcases Undertone’s talent for blending unexpected sounds with EDM’s high-energy pulse, creating a piece that is both unique and undeniably catchy.
