Rising producer Textbook Maneuver has released his first single of 2026, “Murmur 3 Home (Radio Edit)”. The single is accompanied by a dreamy new music video. The track has been released via his Life Science Records imprint.
With close to 150,000 streams across platforms, the project has steadily attracted attention within the global IDM and experimental electronic scene.

Momentum has been building quickly. His track “Adrenaline Slip” was recently remixed by the legendary µ-Ziq and premiered via Wonderland Magazine, while interviews and features across outlets such as Magnetic Magazine, Illustrate Magazine, Vicious Magazine, House Music With Love, WWAM, Music, For All in Brazil, and Good Music Radar have shone a light on his immersive debut album Adrenaline Slip released in 2025.
Textbook Maneuver is increasingly recognised as one of experimental electronic music’s most compelling emerging voices.
More info about Textbook Maneuver
Textbook Maneuver is the project of Michael Keane, a Bronx-born, New Jersey-based composer with classical piano training and a strong DIY punk ethos.
His sound blends intricate sound design with cinematic storytelling, shaped by influences ranging from Genesis in their Duke era, Rush, and Gary Numan to The Postal Service, U.N.K.L.E., and Phantogram.
Under the Textbook Maneuver name, Keane balances the cerebral curiosity of IDM with the emotional pull of ambient and prog-influenced electronica.
His music often feels suited to film, television, and interactive media, thriving on improvisation and sonic experimentation while remaining accessible. Critics have drawn comparisons to Jon Hopkins and Nils Frahm, while attentive listeners may also catch echoes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Aphex Twin in his work.
Inside “Murmur 3 Home (Radio Edit)”
“Murmur 3 Home (Radio Edit)” marks a shift away from the wintery atmospheres of Textbook Maneuver’s more recent releases.
Instead, the track lifts off into a luminous, astral space, built from twinkling pads, airy synths, and flickering rhythms. It unfolds as a gentle odyssey filled with whimsy and wonder, eventually settling into a soft, glimmering conclusion.
The accompanying visual complements this mood, drifting through everyday moments such as suburban streets, shared embraces, and piano keys.
These familiar scenes are washed in vivid pinks, oranges, and blues that pixelate and blur into a dreamlike haze, reinforcing the track’s emotional pull.
A closing statement from Textbook Maneuver
Keane describes “Murmur 3 Home” as the final chapter of his debut album. “‘Murmur 3 Home’ closes out Adrenaline Slip and serves as the coda to the unofficial ‘Space Trip’ suite,” he explains.
“I wrote it while imagining what it must feel like to return home after an extended scientific journey into orbit. It also speaks to any return after time away from loved ones, whether through work or tragedy. There is joy, then relief, followed by an emotional release as the journey truly ends, before everything gently fades.”
With this release, Textbook Maneuver begins 2026 on a reflective, expansive note, offering a thoughtful conclusion to one chapter while opening the door to whatever comes next.
