South African singer-songwriter and acclaimed live-loop artist Tanner Wareham has unveiled the official music video for his latest single, “MAIA” — a vibrant Afro-dance anthem rooted in spirituality and overflowing with rhythmic energy. The release further cements Tanner’s signature fusion of genre, soul, and message.
Filmed on the breathtaking cliffs of Monteseel, just outside Tanner’s hometown of Hillcrest, the video captures more than just scenery.

Against sweeping landscapes bathed in golden light, Tanner delivers a live-loop performance that brings the song’s themes to life — the wonder of creation, submission to God’s greatness, and the joy of salvation.
“This is where I feel most inspired — performing live, surrounded by creation,” says Tanner. “Monteseel was the perfect place to reflect what this song is about: the greatness of God, and the joy that comes from recognizing that.”
Shot and edited by Stephen Michael Photography, the video showcases Tanner Wareham’s unique artistry: building entire arrangements live, looping vocals, percussion, guitar, and synth layers in real-time — just as he would on stage.

“MAIA” was born from a creative partnership between Tanner and UK-based artist Reece Berry, who initially laid down a pulsating house beat and piano progression. From there, Tanner layered in his signature melodic improvisations, tribal chants, Afro-inspired percussion, and uplifting production — transforming it into a groove-driven yet spiritually charged track.
The result is a song that balances reverence with rhythm. Whether you’re listening for the message or dancing to the beat, “MAIA” is an invitation to move — body, heart, and spirit.
