Fresh off a breakout performance at the 68th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, Sombr returns with a brand-new single titled “Homewrecker” (Warner Records). The track marks his first release since his critically acclaimed, chart-topping 2025 debut album I Barely Know Her.
Written and co-produced by Sombr himself, “Homewrecker” arrives alongside an official music video starring Quenlin Blackwell and Milo Manheim – adding cinematic drama to the song’s emotionally charged narrative.

A Cinematic Western With Emotional Firepower
Directed by Gus Black (known for work with Phoebe Bridgers and Laufey), the “Homewrecker” music video leans into messy, relatable tension.
The visual places Sombr and Blackwell inside a Western film directed by a short-tempered character played by Manheim. As egos flare and emotions escalate, the boundary between performance and reality dissolves – culminating in a dramatic, high-noon-style showdown.
It’s theatrical, playful and intense – a fitting visual companion to the song’s emotional pull.

Awards, Chart Success and Global Momentum
Once again, Sombr stands as the sole writer and co-producer of his work – a detail that continues to underline his creative control and artistic weight.
Following his Best New Artist GRAMMY® nomination, he is also nominated for two BRIT Awards: International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for “undressed.”
Meanwhile, his hit “back to friends” has claimed the #1 spot at Top 40 Radio, adding to an already dominant run that has defined the past year.
From SNL to Sold-Out Global Tours
In November, Sombr made his Saturday Night Live debut, performing “12 to 12” and “back to friends.” The appearance landed between sold-out tours across North America — many venues upgraded due to demand — and Australia/New Zealand.
Next, he embarks on a sold-out UK and European run before returning to the United States for Coachella, continuing a relentless international schedule.
From Bedroom Studio to Global Stage
I Barely Know Her was written entirely by Sombr and co-produced alongside Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, The Replacements).
Raised on New York City’s Lower East Side, Sombr began creating music in his bedroom while studying classical music at LaGuardia High School. His 2022 breakout track “Caroline” quickly gained viral momentum, setting the stage for a series of EPs and singles that have since amassed over 400 million monthly streams across platforms.
Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to explore young love and heartbreak through self-written, co-produced music that balances vulnerability with pop ambition.
More info about Sombr
Often described as Gen Z’s rockstar heir apparent, Sombr remains deeply hands-on with his craft. The 20-year-old artist taught himself production, recording at night while studying classical music and vocal performance at LaGuardia High School.
Blending arena-sized pop with indie yearning and glam charisma, his music captures young romance with striking vulnerability. In 2025, “back to friends” hit #1 on Spotify’s Global and U.S. charts, reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped Alternative Radio for five consecutive weeks, and became the #1 pop song in America.
His rapid ascent is mirrored in sold-out headline tours across North America, the U.K., Europe, and Australia/New Zealand – often featuring surprise guests like Sam Smith and Laufey.
Entering 2026 with a Best New Artist GRAMMY nomination, a “Best Alternative” win at the MTV VMAs, performances on Fallon, Kimmel and SNL, and the release of I Barely Know Her, Sombr continues to cement his position as one of the defining new voices of his generation.
