Rob Clarke, an emerging singer-songwriter celebrated for his heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, released his eagerly awaited new single, “Electricity,” on the 20th of September 2024. Produced by Dave Pearce of Pascal & Pearce, the track pulses with an infectious energy that listeners will immediately connect with.

Written during a time when Rob felt a lack of inspiration, “Electricity” became a breakthrough piece for the artist. “Many musicians say their best work comes together quickly,” Rob reflects. “‘Electricity’ was one of those moments—it wasn’t planned, it just flowed. It was a sudden burst of creative energy.”

The song delves into the powerful connection between two people meeting for the first time, using electricity as a metaphor for the intense emotions involved.

“I’ve always loved drawing parallels between electricity and love,” Rob says. “Both are essential, yet unpredictable and potentially dangerous. This track captures the sensation of knowing, from the very first moment, that you’re destined to fall for someone. It’s about connection, emotion, passion… and electricity.”

Working with DJ Cosher has been a key part of Rob’s creative evolution. “It’s been a privilege to collaborate with DJ Cosher and his team at Cosher Studios,” Rob shares. “His experience and fresh ideas have opened up new creative avenues for me, helping me grow as a songwriter in ways I never imagined.”

The recording process of “Electricity” was marked by an undeniable synergy between Rob, DJ Cosher, and Dave Pearce.

“There was a real spark during the recording sessions,” Rob recalls. “We all had different ideas about the song’s direction, but Dave really honed in on its potential and brought it to life. Watching ‘Electricity’ evolve with each layer we added was incredible—it really makes you feel the energy when you listen to it.”

For Rob, “Electricity” is more than just a song. “As an artist, it’s rare to write something and not second-guess it,” he admits. “But with ‘Electricity,’ I can’t find anything to criticize. It’s a special track for me, and no matter how it performs, it will always be one of my favorites.”
