The South African leg of the tour will cover three cities, each offering a unique and intimate experience for fans.

The journey kicks off on the 6th of September 2024 at the Concert Hall in Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre Centre, moves to Durban’s iZulu Theatre at the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom on the 7th of September 2024, and concludes with a lively afternoon performance at Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton, Johannesburg, on the 8th of September 2024.

Carletheia, an emerging artist with a powerful voice and captivating stage presence, has been announced as the opening act for PJ Morton’s upcoming show in Cape Town.

Carletheia, whose soulful sound and dynamic performances have been steadily gaining recognition, expressed her excitement about the opportunity to share the stage with such an internationally acclaimed artist. “I am beyond ecstatic and truly blessed to have the opportunity to open up for PJ Morton,” she said. “It’s rare to get a chance to open for an international artist, let alone a multi-Grammy award-winning one. I don’t take this opportunity lightly.”

For PJ Morton, this tour is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a return to the place that fueled the creativity for his latest album, Cape Town to Cairo.

“I wanted to return to the place that inspired the new album,” says Morton. “It feels surreal to be back here, less than a year after writing the entire album. There’s such a strong connection now, and I’m excited to be back.”

South African fans can look forward to an even more electrifying experience this time around, with a larger band and an energy that will elevate the live performance to new levels.

“They can expect a bigger band, more energy, and new music mixed with the favorites,” Morton shares.

The Johannesburg show will also feature special performances by local artists Mandisi Dyantyis and Wandile Mbambeni, celebrating the rich musical landscape of South Africa.

This collaboration underscores Morton’s deep respect and admiration for South African talent, making this tour not just a musical event but a cultural exchange.

Tickets for PJ Morton’s South African performances are available now via his official website or via Webtickets.
