Great news! Jack Parow is back with a brand new album and a brand spanking new music video. His new album is called “Nag van die Lang Pette” (translated as “Night of the long caps”) and it’s said to be his best album to date. The 2 disc album has two sides: an electric side and an acoustic side.
This is his third studio offering and it shows off both his romantic and dangerous side. The double album features 11 acoustic tracks, 12 new electric tracks and 6 comedy skits by Radio Raps. Parow colabs with artists like Francois Van Coke (Van Coke Kartel & Fokofpolisiekar), die Klipwerf Boere Orkes, PH FAT, Valiant Swart, Nonku and Rattex. Not to shabby Hey Nige?
I have to say that I’m pretty amped to hear Parow’s new tracks. I thoroughly enjoyed his first two studio albums and I’m looking forward to hearing what this one has to offer. I’m pretty sure that I’ll find at least two (or four) tracks that will blow me away.
Jack Parow had this to say about his new album: “Thank the lord it is finished. A lot of blood, sweat and stress went into this album. I didn’t realize what I signed up for when I tackled this double album. It was supposed to drop last year October, but I’m glad we waited until now. All the kief people who contributed, make it a very special album for me. It was a cool process and I worked with the befokste artists around. Thanks to everyone who was a part of this process. Now I’m looking forward to dropping the tracks live.”
The album was released on Wednesday and is already available in stores. On the same day Parow released a music video for the first single off the new album, “Bloubek”. Jack Parow had this to say about the video “I am heavy excited about this video. It was a group effort and al my gevaarlike tjommies helped out to make it a success. From Casper Lee, comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout, Derick Watts and the Sunday Blues to EFC champion, Juggernaut, came to help make crazy. The video is just as gevaarlik as the song… so hosh ja, as jy weer terug praat los ek jou met ‘n Bloubek!”
I have to admit that this video is one of the better Jack Parow videos that I’ve seen in the last few years. I’m just wondering if someone will get a “Bloubek” during one of Parow’s shows this year? The tune is damn catchy so I’m thinking that this will go down well.
Great news is that Jack Parow is touring to promote his new album from the end of February. You can catch him live at Arcade Empire in Potchefstroom on the 28th of February, the Barnyard Theatre (Parkview) on the 2nd of March, at the Barnyard Theatre (Boksburg) on the 3rd of March, at the Barnyard Theatre (Cresta) on the 4th of March, at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria on the 5th of March, at Rocca Bar in Durban on the 8th of March, at the Klein Libertas Theatre in Stellenbosch on the 14th of March, at the Barnyard Theatre (Willowbridge) on the 17th of March, at Assembly in Cape Town on the 20th of March and at Park Life Music Festival at Marks Park in Johannesburg on the 21st of March.
