After more than a decade in the South African music scene, beloved singer-songwriter Majozi is taking a moment to pause, reflect, and connect with the people who’ve supported him throughout his journey — his fans.
His new, intimate tour, Songs & Stories by Majozi, is more than just a series of live shows. It’s a heartfelt exploration of the songs that have shaped his career, paired with the stories that gave them life.
“After being in the industry for over a decade, I’ve had some time to reflect on my career and remember the moments and inspirations along the way,” says Majozi. “I thought it would be really cool to share some of them with the people I love. You!”
The idea grew organically after fans started asking about the deeper meanings behind his lyrics during shows. The response was so warm and encouraging, Majozi was inspired to create a one-of-a-kind experience where music and personal storytelling go hand in hand.
“It’s almost therapeutic for me,” he adds. “I’ve always just moved from one thing to the next without really processing how I got here. Now, I get to share what these songs have meant to me… and also hear what they’ve meant to others.”
The Songs & Stories tour will cover three cities and offer fans something truly unique — a curated setlist featuring fan favourites like “Darling,” “Waiting,” and “Fire,” deeper tracks like “The River” and “The Greatest Love,” as well as new releases like “Time Traveller” and “Safe In The Sound.”
Beyond the music, Majozi will open up about the joy, struggle, growth, and gratitude behind each song — and invite audiences to share their own stories too.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever do shows like this again,” he says. “So we’re going to make it really special. I want people to walk away feeling like they were part of something meaningful.”

These three venues were carefully chosen — each holding personal significance for Majozi. Pretoria’s Atterbury Theatre is one of his favourite venues, Durban marks a nostalgic return to his hometown roots, and Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre is a bucket-list venue for the artist who now calls the city home.
More shows may be added in a stripped-down format, so fans across South Africa are encouraged to stay tuned.
Songs & Stories by Majozi is more than a concert — it’s a celebration of connection, a tribute to growth, and an unforgettable night of vulnerability, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
