Multi-talented singer-songwriter Jesse Clegg has unveiled the highly anticipated music video for his latest single, “Called To Hear Your Voice“. Known for his emotive lyrics and captivating melodies, Jesse’s new music video takes viewers on a journey through the universal experience of longing and connection.
The music video was filmed in Johannesburg and Cape Town. While most of the video was shot in Cape Town, the performance shots were shot in Johannesburg.
Jesse Clegg explains the concept behind the music video
“In one sense there’s a sadness that arises from missing someone, but it’s also a blessing to have those special people in life that we are so connected to and miss them when we aren’t with them. The video tries to convey that longing but also the joy of finally reconnecting.”
“Cape Town is like a character in the story. We also received support from Inverroche Gin and The Taj Hotel who helped to make the video possible. I enjoyed performing the song solo to camera in Johannesburg. I wrote the song in LA and was feeling homesick and missing my family. To be back home and sing it for the music video was a nice full-circle moment.”

Jesse Clegg has been making waves internationally, recently returning from a series of performances in New York.
