In March 2016 I attended my fifth Mieliepop Festival (near Lothair in Mpumalanga). That year the festival returned after a 2-year hiatus, so it was a lekker weekend (filled with great vibes, great peeps and lekker tunes).
What can I remember about Mieliepop 2016?
I can’t remember the whole Mieliepop 2016 line-up (which was amazeballs), but I do remember being pretty money-conscious that weekend (because it was before payday) – It didn’t stop me from snapping some pics and partying my arse off though.
Hellcats played a lekker set that weekend. They even turned my friend Colette into a superfan. It was one of the most epic sets I’ve seen by them and that’s the reason why I selected a photo I snapped of them as the photo of the week on SA Music Zone.
