South African punk rock pioneers Fuzigish have revealed the dates for their Skanky Shoe Summer Mini Tour with good buddies Half Price with support from The Man Motels and Crossfire Collision. The shows will be taking place on the 17th of February at The Woodstock Brewery in Cape Town and 18th of February at Aandklas in Stellenbosch.
The band celebrated their 25th anniversary last year with the release of their well-received self-titled 6th studio album produced by Matthew Fink (Anna Wolf / The Medicine Dolls / The Black Cat Bones / WONDERboom).
With their signature horns, pounding drums, rock solid bass & riff heavy leanings this band has become notorious for their legendary energetic live shows, filled with drunken anthems sung by loyal fans.
From beer funnels to haircuts on stage and even the occasional song, (the longest Fuzi set clocks in at just over two hours, totaling a forty-song set to celebrate Rockwell’s 40th birthday), anything is possible at a Fuzigish show and everyone is welcome.
Fuzigish bassist Rockwell is extatic about the Mini Tour
“Fuzigish is soooooooo stoked to be playing Cape Town and Stellenbosh again! And we are even more stoked that we get to play with longstanding friends, Half Price. It’s been a long time coming.”
“My favourite SA band, Crossfire Collision shares the stage on Friday the 17th at the Woodstock Brewery, and The Man Motels grace the stage in Stellenbosch on Saturday the 18th at Aandklas. It’s going to be a skankin’ party weekend, there’s no doubt about that, as anyone that has been to a Fuzigish show can attest to.”
