The Future Fire Project is an initiative by South African rock band, Future Radio, aimed at rewarding excellence in the arts. Through this project, they want to empower deserving artists by equipping them with the necessary tools to follow their passion and fulfil their purpose.
Johnny Future from Future Radio explains the Future Fire Project
“Future Radio, is all about the passionate pursuit of purpose. Through this initiative, we want to identify worthy artists and equip them with the necessary tools to reach their full potential. As artist ourselves, we understand the struggle and frustration of not being able to take the next big step, not because of a lack of vision, hard work or talent but because of the lack of resources.”
Drikus Roets, visual designer and Future Radio co-founder describes the ideal Future Fire candidate as “somebody who displays passion, dedication and determination in any form of the arts. If the potential candidates meet the predetermined criteria we, along with our community and partners, will try our best to assist in providing them with the necessary equipment to take the next step on their journey.”
Future Radio promises to keep the process as transparent as possible by documenting each story. Even though they recognise the need for upliftment, they emphasise the fact that this is not a charity project, but a project which is geared towards recognising artistic prowess and empowering deserving individuals.
