Crimson House have released a new single, “Pot Of Gold”. Cape Town Gypsy Jungle Music Collective Crimson House have announced that they will be spending 2 months in Pretoria where they will be working on completing their fourth studio album.
After 2015 the group featured as the backing band in a cabaret circus in which they adopted a new found love for gypsy music to the likes of Gorgol Bordello and Balkan Beat Box. This new found love lead the group (which was previously known as Crimson House Blues) to establish a new direction in their music and undertake the journey to create their fourth studio album. They are also delving into their South African / Namibian roots for inspiration purposes.
Crimson House will be playing a selection of shows in Gauteng while they are there and have just returned from the MTN Bushfire Festival in Swaziland, where they were well received by the 28,000 people in attendance.
Following the success of Take A Chance, Don’t Forget To Take Your Medicine and Jo Bounce the band have released the 4th single, Pot of Gold (which is taken from their forthcoming album).
I cranked up “Pot Of Gold” this morning and I have to say that I’m impressed. It’s the perfect track to chill out to and it didn’t make me fall asleep. I have to admit that it differs to the music that they normally release.
You can catch Crimson House live at these venues / events in June and July:
