Jozi based Rock band, CrashCarBurn has released a brand new single, entitled “Carry On”. “Carry On” is the third single from their latest album Back From The Dead which was released in October 2022. Previous singles from the album include “Stay” and “Hold On”.
“Carry On”, the single, was born in the shadows of Covid, when it seemed as if all of frontman Garth Barnes’ best friends and family were moving overseas and it hit him hard.
One of the band’s personal favourite tracks from the new album and one which seemed to be receiving the best feedback from live shows, “Carry On” is a song about the bitter sweet experience that is living in South Africa: A wild wild west combined with a rollercoaster of highs and lows.
A signature, big CrashCarBurn anthem with a darker subject matter, “Carry On” still features the band’s renowned positive energy and message – the song is for anyone seeing the country falling apart, but who still loves it beyond measure.
Garth Barnes (from CrashCarBurn) comments on the track
“Well, I’m not going to stand here and lie about how it’s a revolutionary CCB track that’s a whole new bag… because it ain’t! Lol. It’s classic CCB, but just the best version of it so far.”
“You spend years practicing and getting better at a thing until you create something that is as close to perfect as you could imagine… I think this track is that for us. We’re super proud of it.”
