South African indie-folk singer-songwriter Booshle G has just released the official video for “Take Me Home” (with Zubin & Paul Timitch). The anthemic single was the official song of the Betway SA20—South Africa’s Premier T20 Cricket League—earlier this year.
The track struck a chord with audiences, amassing over 4 million streams across platforms. Booshle G also had the honor of performing “Take Me Home” live at the Betway SA20 final, bringing the anthem to cricket fans across the nation.
Now, the release of the official music video brings fresh visuals to the song that has already captivated so many.
The release follows a whirlwind year of major milestones for Booshle G, cementing his place as one of the country’s most exciting rising talents
His independent grind has paid off as he recently became the first South African artist to sign with Nettwerk, a globally respected label known for representing artists like Passenger, Matt Maltese, SYML, and Angus & Julia Stone.
“It’s an incredible honor to join the Nettwerk team,” Booshle G shares. “My heart has always been to represent the beauty and wonder of South Africa to the world, and this is an incredible opportunity to do that. I’m extremely grateful for the support I have had, and I know that God is going to make a beautiful story out of it all.”
Adding to his growing list of achievements, he is set to take his music to bigger stages, with a performance at Splashy Fen, South Africa’s longest-running music festival, and upcoming shows in the UK for the Dreaming Out Loud Tour with Neon Dreams and Ben Rodrigues.
With his career on an upward trajectory and a fresh music video to mark this moment, Booshle G proves that his sound and story resonate far beyond his hometown of Uitenhage.
