Johannesburg-based musician Jack Atlantic first made waves under the moniker CherryKab, scoring national radio success with “Head Over Heels” and “We Got The Power”, both of which charted on major stations including 94.7, Algoa FM, East Coast Radio and KFM.
He later began releasing music under his birth name, Kelvin Alston, pushing his sound even further with tracks like “Repaired” and “Every Color Imagined”. “Repaired” proved to be a standout, reaching number one on the Algoa FM Top 30 and earning Hot Hit of the Week honours on Jacaranda FM.
The shift to Jack Atlantic marked a deliberate rebrand built on clarity and continuity.
After years of name confusion affecting recognition, he opted for a stage name that’s simple, memorable and rooted in his history. “Jack” nods to both CherryKab and Kelvin, while “Atlantic” reflects ambition, movement and a future that stretches far beyond local shores.
With experience, chart success and a refined identity behind him, Jack Atlantic is far from a newcomer – he’s an artist finally aligned with his sound and direction.
