About an hour ago, Slipknot released “All Out Life”, their first new song in 4 years. It’s one of the heaviest tracks that I’ve ever heard from them and I love it.
Frontman Corey Taylor calls the new tune a rallying cry for tried-and-tested music. He told Alt Press: “Everybody talks about toxic masculinity and toxic fandom these days. For me, it’s more about this toxic idea that unless something came out 10 minutes ago, it’s not any good, and that bothers me… I love new music, but at the same time, don’t turn your back on the music that’s been.”
Yes folks, a new Slipknot album is on the way Corey Taylor assures heavy music lovers everywhere that the album will be one of the darkest in Slipknot’s catalog.
The vocalist said that it’s “complicated, it’s dark, it’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s fierce, it’s angry and it’s real, it’s raw as hell and it’s gonna be talking about a lot of things that people are going to need in their life.”
Slipknot‘s previous release was 5: The Gray Chapter (in 2014). To be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of that album, but I’m definitely looking forward to their next offering. “All Out Life” is one of the best metal tracks that I’ve heard in 2018. It sounds like Slipknot and System of a down had a lovechild.
