Jack Parow spitting in Afrikaans

Love him or hate him you can’t ignore him. Jack Parow is here to stay and he is in your face like only an Afrikaans rapper can be. Jack Parow’s love of rap started at the age of 11 or 12.  After hearing Snoop Dog’s  Doggy Style he decided he wanted to rap. At first Jack rapped in English, but after working on the song Hard Headed Hobo with Brasse Vannie Kaap where he rapped in Afrikaans the deal was done. Jack Parow was a new born Afrikaans rapper. He felt more comfortable rapping in his mother language and he never turned back. He hails from the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

After rapping for pizza and beer at parties for a long time Jack Parow hit it big with the song Cooler as Ekke. In a few months Jack Parow was a household name. Some were disgusted, some feared it but loads loved it. jack Parow is like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. Collaborations with Francois van Coke on Dans Dans Dans and Die Heuwels Fantasties on the song Die Vraagstuk made it clear that Jack Parow was not going to be just a flash in the pan.

Jack Parow’s self titled full length debut album hit stores in 2010 and was a huge success. Currently Jack is working on the follow-up full length album Nag van die Lang Pette. I can’t wait. All of you should prepare yourself.

This is the music video for his latest single Byellville
